added info, i swapped out my rear caliper with had new pads and the were the same as the 2000 cr 80, the cr bracket did not work and when i put the cr caliper on the 200x bracket it bolted up but the small notch on the bracket would rub with the cr caliper, then i swapped back the 200x caliper and it would not??? i ended up just shimming the bracket withe cr caliper to give the notch some clearance and it works well now.

I will be putting a cr80 caliper at the back and using the cr handle master. I'll just get a longer brake hose to reach the back.
I'm worried about the fitting I would need to have to make my hose fit on the master cylinder... Like this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/180843788998...84.m1438.l2649
The fitting on the master doesnt look like a banjo? Can I replace this fitting with a banjo?

Looking at pictures I would say no, you can't put a banjo fitiing on that master. I would think you could get a hose made with the right fitting though.
It would be easier in the long run to get one with a banjo fitting on it already.. It may cost you more but in the long run it will probably be in better condition anyways. I used a 2003 CR85 caliper on mine.. It was fairly cheap, looked new and had new pads in it too..

Thanks! I bought a 05 cr85 complete front brake system 2 days ago. As I didnt get any response, I assumed it wouldn't have fit so I bought one with a banjo on it. The dude said he'll throw in a good set of padsalong with it.
I just need to figure out what lenght I'll need to reach the back...

I'm running a CR85 front caliper, rear master, and rear brake hose for the rear brakes on my 200x. The line could be an inch or two longer but it does the job. I emailed a bunch of sellers on eBay asking the lengths before I bought

The problem is that I dont have any of the 200x rear pedal and linkage... That's why I'd use the front master to operate the rear brakes. I wouldn't get much braking up front with a front max tire anyways.

^ Apparently he doesn't want to buy the foot brake parts and uses the front master cylinder and a long azz line to the rear caliper cable.

I wanted to add some info to this I found out last night on the 200X brakes.

83-87 atc200x use the same front calipers
83-87 atc200x use the same rear calipers

81-84 atc250r use the same front calipers as 83-87 atc200x
82-84 atc250r use the same rear calipers as 83-87 atc200x

the rebuild kits and brake pads are the same for both of these models.

in edition ive learned this too:
the following quads front calipers use the same brake pads and rebuild kit....so my guess is we can swap calipers also (would need right sides if this works)

    87-92 trx250x
    93-current 300ex
    99-current 400ex

And on top of all of this information I know for a 100% sure fact 04-05 YFZ450 swap directly onto the 250x/300ex/400ex so after a little bit of work I am going to see if i can use a YFZ450 right caliper onto the 83-87 200x and 83-84 250r

    Keep yall updated.

Update, YFZ450 calipers will not work, nothing bolts up and banjo bolt is on the side also. However in my search for newschool on oldskool I can add some info.

KLX140 and KLX140L rear caliper are the same as all kx85/kx100. This opens up the world of calipers a little more.

    enjoy.

I started researching these (indepently from your results) and came across a cross brand reference into yamaha .

I have not dug deep on the yamaha side yet, but here is the brake pad set that should be exactly the same as the 200x, but in the yamaha world, have not touched on the calipers etc really.

    EDIT!

I stumbled onto a list of 100% interchanges, but they dont say front vs back, but one or the other WILL fit, so I guess look at photos and compair before buying . I'll work on verifying front vs rear vs both in time.

I think this list only included ATVs, since we already know some motor cycles fit and this list has none.

Seems like banshee rear calipers are still made, the old 3 wheeler ones are NOT made any more. Here is a quick result I found for New and basically unlimited stock of rear calipers. I couldn't even find a new old stock 200x caliper to compare prices. The machines might be old, but parts are new and more available than the old hondas.

eastcoat atv sells new rear 200x calipers which are the same as 2nd gen 250R calipers. Id rather have KX and CR calipers if needed. I put a 2012 TRX450R rear caliper on my 200x, its not a bolt on. talk about grabbing power.
