They're a 350 twin two-stroke. The earlier models came with J-arms in the front. They're reliable as long as you premix it right and put the air filters on right.

Well, I haven't taken pics of it, but it's this exact one, it's been in storage for 10-15 years according to the owner, he also claims it ran before he stored it, the only thing I see wrong with it, is that one of the spark plug wires is gone, and the carb is seized, other than that, the engine seems to turn freely and all. The brakes still even work perfectly.http://www.yamaha-motor.com/outdoor/...hee_small.aspx

    WOW ... an "87" .. the ( FIRST and FASTEST ) of the Banshee's.. i had one..
PLEEZZZZZ take care of the cases and the Cyl's !! they are BEST than the rest and BETTER !! Notice the Rubber plug back by the rear mount .. that's for the Tach Cable for the Street Bike Version that the "Banshee" Motor came from the "RZ350" .. bUT... The gears are not in the cases
the Newer Banshee cases do NOT have that rubber grommet nor the Porting that the "87" Has ....
the rear hub's are 4 on 100 like the Blaster and TRI-Z and the rear Sprocket has 4 bolt's and NOT 6 ...

Yea, I will, prolly never gonna use it for running hard, just trail riding n stuff, I was wondering though, if I don';t plan to go too fast, I should use a little more oil right?

All other year Banshee motors don't have near the porting of 87 Cylinders? Where did you get this information?..........

And for a stock bike, you will be fine with 91 octane. If you want to run 93, that is up to you, however it is not needed on a stock engine. running 32:1 ratio for your oil/fuel mixture will treat your motor good as well. 32:1 is what a lot of people run and with no complaints.

    It's a 350 two-stroke. It'll burn a lot more gas than your trikes.

They eat fuel pretty good, however if the engine and bike are stock and you are just putting around, a tank will probably last you a good bit of the day. Usually you can see 3-5 hours of putting around, occasionally getting on it sometimes.

And about the porting, I didn't know you have been in the business a long time. However the only thing that I can see different in the porting is Casting Flaws o nthe cylinders.

Are you kidding me $400!!!! I never come across deals like this...Great job DAD. Trial bike- MOTO-FAST made a 1 into 2 Carb and intake with a 2 into 1 Pipe that gave the bike alot more bottom and a more predictible powerband.
