It should work as they have the same motor.

Wrong, wrong, wrong!! 200e pullstarters are different. The motors are not the same, simular yes, but same NO.

These machines have pull starters that will work with each other.

200E recoils should work on all those other bikes listed, I used to have one on my old 200s, plus theres a 200 starter on my dads 82 200E, so yes, they will work, you will just lose your auto decompression.

Okay, then what is the difference in an 82 200 and an 83 200e motor???

Did you even read your own post there Howdy???

To the original poster, what I first stated is correct. The 1982 atc200 and 1983 atc200e have the SAME motor. The 200s is a little different but uses the same pull starter. I have two 200e big reds and a 200s and their pull starters all interchange.

Does a atc200 have Hi/LO sub tranny? NOPE!
How about electric start ( from the factory )? NOPE
How about a factory stator for charging a battery ( from the factory )? NOPE
    Shall I go on?

Are you sure your not confusing the 200 with a 185??? I thought the 1982 Honda ATC200 DID have the hi/lo tranny???

I think the point is that the recoils will still interchange, the Hi/Lo, electric start, and different stator make no difference, you can still use a 200E pull start on any other 200/185.

Well I stand corrected. According to the Specs page here, honda first made the 200E in 1982. So the atc200 and atc200e do NOT have the same motor, though the pull starters are the same. Hey, I can admit when I'm wrong.

I can admit when I am wrong, but I am not wrong on the fact that they are different. But if you insist on saying they are the same, then so be it. I won't waste anymore of my time in this thread.
