    250R top speed

This issue has been discussed and discussed through and through. But I always remember the thread dammit (I think he made it anyways, I can't find the thread). Where he tested it in the dunes and got 62...I thought that was low as hell.
Well I got a GPS a few months ago, and tested the topspeed of my 200s (43.6 mph). Well my buddy got talking about wanting to see the TS of his pocket bike and I thought hmm, I got an R, might aswell see what that is while I'm at it.

Did 2 runs, here's the best of the 2.

    74.2 mph.
    GPS- Garmin Etrex legend.
My bike has DG full, UNI air and that's it, basically stock. It's an '85 if it makes a difference.
12T front, 20" rears. I don't know if those are stock tire and sprocket sizes or not.

I believe 13 tooth front sprocket is stock. Stock tires are are 20".

That top speed is correct. They will vary a little with each rider and bike. So give or take a few mph. Awsome to see some speed figures.

Exactly. In my experience, the extra drag and resistance from paddles and sand lops off 10mph easy.

Regardless, thanks for sharing. GPS doesn't lie!

Flat straight pavement. I wanted it to be neutral as possible. I am 6'2" 215 lbs.

That's probably the best way to do it--take as many variables out of the equation as possible.

I definitely agree with that. C'mon everybody, lets see your top speed on gps, it could be like an online drag race.

Thats probably about right, 56 is about the stock speed of a 200x. Though when I had 15/38 gearing on my 86, along with 22'' tires I had it to 63 according to a gps. Then I switched to 14/38 with 20'' tires. So thats about the same as stock gearing and I didnt try to see how fast it goes yet.
