Kawasaki KLT 250 cdi swaps??Help!!

Obtained an old kawi KLT 250 ...82 or 83, and was in the process of rewiring it. Yikes! found out that the cdi costs more than the trike is worth. Any ideas on how I could swap out another cdi box or wiring harness would be greatly appreciated. Preferably one that runs abit cheaper and is easily obtainable on ebay. I do have a harness from a 220 bayou with the cdi box...may try it wire that up if i can get a wiring diagram. Anyone want a project??

hey, don't quote me on this, but the 94 klf 300 I have has the same color and number of wires as the 82 klt 250. might try a used one.
