Need engine removal help '85 250es

Ok, on my 250es i have all the mounting bolts and plates off, and a jack under the engine. All that is left is to disengage the drive shaft u joint while sliding the engine out the left side, but it's looking impossible to do without another hand to help, and there's only me. I can't seem to get the darn thing out, i've followed both the Clymer and service manuals to a tee, but they're both very generalized about disengaging the drive shaft. Can anybody give me some suggestions or tips?

I usually pull out the swingarm pivots and let the whole swinger slide back. Makes it quite a bit easier. If I remember right you have to swing the head to the left to clear the frame then tilt it back and it should come right out.

The drive shaft should slide back enough for it to come off the output shaft. Mine did. It was a struggle doing it by yourself, but it is not impossible
