what width wheel for a 22X11 tire?

I'm going to buy some 10" aluminum wheels for the back of my 250SX. What is the ideal wheel width? 8,9 or 10? How does wheel width affect the shape of the tire and how it performs? I was going to go with 9" because I thought 10" might be too wide, but I was talking to Honda250SX and he said if he were going to buy rear wheels and tires for his SX now, he would go with 10X10's and Titan Fast Trekker tires. What do you guys think? (No offense Honda 250SX, you obviously know your s#@!, just trying to get some other opinions).

I would also go with the 10"s, 9's might pull the sidewalls in too much on the Fast Trekkers.

Yep, I'd do 10's as well.

For my SX, I wasn't planning on using Fast Trekkers. I've kinda narrowed down my choices to the Mudlites, some type of Wooly Booger copy, Carlisle/Titan AT 489's, maybe a cheaper Holeshot copy. (But I'm open to other suggestions). Would these work OK on a 10" wide wheel?

i have always used 8x8 wheels but any of the above will work, but the wider wheel will flaten out the tire some.
