what kind of tires - specific models are good for heavy mud?

I am thinking of getting new tires and I was wondering which ones you recommend for mud and snow.

Mud & Snow Definately get the Rawhide Grips
ALthough they are 25" tall (cause I suspect you to use them on a trike right?)

For those conditions, several tires could be used: Spider Tracks, Wooly Boogers, Blackwaters, MudLite, Titan AT589MT, Bear Claw, Dirt Devil, Gator and Sur Trak. These are all good mud and snow tires, epecially the Wooly Boogers, which I have on my 185S. I rarly get stuck in mud or snow.Sur Traks are good too, I have had some eperience with them. They are also a very good mud and snow tire.

Probably his 200M :? Usually the most aggressive looking tire would be the best, but not always

goodyear rawhide 3's are the absolute best mud tire i have ever run. as a added bonus they are the cheapest tire out there at 39.95 each. they don't look like that much but in mud one of the first rule of thumbs is K.I.S.S. Keep It Simple Stupid

Ok because I am kind of getting sick of getting stuck all the time when my friends all do not and then they spray mud all over me!!! It pisses me off!

Get a tire that is good for all conditions. The most expensive mud tire isn't necesarily going to be magic cure for not getting stuck. Vampires are nice but tires with big lugs on a 2 wheel drive sometimes just dig you down deeper. Owning a 200m myself though, I will say they go through mud pretty damn well. It still has the original ohtsu's and they are just fine for deep muddin. Kenda makes a good tire, you wouldn't go wrong with bear claws or dirt dogs.

My only question is what are the ply ratings of these tires? Are you going to get beat to hell because they are too stiff of a tire?

I would like to try one myself, but am leary because they are so damn hard.

I'm not sure about the others, but I know that the wooley boogers are 4 ply tires. Four ply is a pretty good compromise. My buddy has some six ply razr tires that look full of air even when they are flat, but the bike still doesns't really beat you to death because it's got a suspension. If I had a bike without any suspension at all, such as the 200m, I would be wanting something probably four ply at most.
