My two freinds race their bikes. one has a racing modded kawasaki 400 dirtbike, and the other has a 660 grizzly. The 400 was at about 110, on a dirt road and the grizz was about the same, if a little bit slower.i don't know this for a fact, as I was not there, but this is what i was told

A raced out Grizzly eh? That sounds like it came from their ass unless the bikes were geared A LOT higher.

when i rode my friends gizz i was flying at 65 and there was alot more throttle to be pushed, they are very fast for their huge utility size, the grizzly will do about 75-80mph, my friend said the fastest he ever got on it was 78mph and it still had some left, but he stopped because it was to fast.

actually, they do race them. They are a couple of stupid teens, like myself. Thats all they got, so they race..of course the dirt bike beats the grizz, but i mean hey, those are the only bikes they have, so they do race them...i'll try to get a pic f it one day. The grizzly is stock by the way, it is the dirtbike thats race-modded. As I said in my other post though, i am not 100% on the speeds they hit. one of them has a spedometre (however u spell that), and they have hit 100. the dirbike was at 110 (what my fried told me), and the tires started spinning out, so he didn't push it any further.

Well we ran the following bikes on a huge ass straight away.
Polaris SM700, Polaris SM600, Honda Recon, Yamaha Blaster, Yamaha Warrior, Polaris S500, ATC 250R, 350x and a ATC 200X.

The 250R walked seriously away from all the machines. I passed( I waited to go) the SM700 who was topped out at around 62 on his speedo like he was standing still.

All the machines in that group except the 250R and 350X averaged around the same speed. I would say it was truely around 55 mph. The bigger machines got up quicker, but in the end they all held around the same spots at top end. I find it really hard to beleive that a stock Griz goes 70+. I guess all things are possible, but in that mix it seemed all the machines were kinda limited between the 50-60 mph marker. Makes sense how they all held around the same speeds except the old ATC's as I think its a manufactures hidden rule to not go too wild on these machines.

I would love to be there to see a stock griz walk past a 250R(or any machine in this class)...... Or as the one post above says anything not running alcohol as his 100 mph stock Griz flys by it.

No point following what the speedos say, they are cheap and inaccurate and only put there to make the driver feel like it was money well spent on the machine.
Although they do give a ball park figure they could be way out, most i think will 'accidently' read too high.

If you put a GPS system in your car (truck) the figures will be different, the car manufacturers have reach certain levels of accuracy. Off road machines dont.

Ain't no way in HELL that a Grizzly will do over 60 mph stock. Dirtwheels tested them with a radar detector at 54mph when the rev-limiter kicked in. I've gotten one up to 52mph while riding beside my brother in his car. Where ever ya'll got your info from, It came out their ass like Hemi said.
YOU CAN'T GO BY WHAT THE SPEEDO SAYS!!!! One day my Foreman told me it was going 56mph but I guarantee ya it's not accurate.
[20:55] <waterpumper> putting a racing pipe on a Foreman is like putting a high dollar bikini on a 400 pound chick...just because it fits doesn't mean it looks cool

My polaris 500ho will go 60 + or - a couple mph.I would think the griz
    would be a little faster,the polaris 700 sure is.but 100 mph sounds a little
    far fetched.
