Best Tires for Big Red 25x12x9?

I am looking for the best tires for my new to me 1985 Honda 250 Big Red. Based on following:

1.) We trail ride, creek ride and medium mud ride.
2.) My 12 year old son likes to drive the Big Red. I have read that the squarer tires helps keep all 3 tires on the ground easier.
3.) I don't know if they make radial tires in this size or not but, I would think radial tires would not be a squirelly.
4.) We don't really care about a soft ride or anything.
5.) We are still running factory rims.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions. Hopefully you all will help me before, I waste my money on a set of tires that I really don't like.

Well I kinda like these tires and also the tires that Travex has on his big red (my old big red). They are cheap and really do the job.

I found three (3) ITP Mud Lites 25x12x9 for $235.00 delivered. Do you all think that is a good tire for my Big Red and do you think the price is good?

It has been 15 years since I messed with these ATVs and ATCs, so I trying not to make to many mistakes.

    Thanks,

They're stock Honda rims from an '86 Fourtrax. 9x9s. These rims will fit the SX rear (course my entire axle/swingarm is all Fourtrax now).

Where did I order my tires, right? I ordered them through my local Honda shop so I wouldn't have to pay for shipping. I ordered them over the phone after looking at them online. I was a few thousand miles away and I wanted to make sure I had new tires when I got back home! My second day back I was putting them on my machine.

i have heard nothing but good things about mud lites, i loved them when i had them on my tri moto, $235 is a good price for 3 of them but you can get them from denniskirk for $225 shipped, or if you find them cheaper somewhere else they will match it, and there a very reliable sight with fast shipping, i say go for the mud lites but heres a couple sites you can check out

I am also thinking about buying 3 of these tires. They say they are radial and built like the ITP BlackWater. Let me know what you all think about them.

Btw, in case anyone wants to know why I am looking for a radial. I think it will have less flex in it, so it might help the 3 wheeler stay on 3 wheels longer.
