    85 tri-z engine...What's it worth?

I recently picked up a pair of tri-z's (85 & 85 1/2) and a spare 86 engine. Both bikes run, but the 85 definately needs more work than the 85 1/2. so, i was going to sell the complete running engine out of the 85, and keep the chassis for spare parts.Engine: .020 over, boyesen reeds, could use new clutch. I would like to keep the stator and fly wheel for my 86 project engine. so, what would be a good asking price for the complete engine?

Oh yeah... Deans snowmobile shop. You should come down and go riding some time this spring. so, were you interested in the motor? Or maybe give me a better idea on what it's worth? thanx

I sold mine on ebay a couple of years back for about 250-270, don't remember exactly. It had a fresh topend, boyesen reeds, new crank seals, new waterpump impeller. Only problems were the clutch cover was cracked on the top right corner and the shift shaft was stripped out.

OK, herei s an update. i tore into the 86 engine (the spare) tonight... not good. turns out i can't get rid of the other 85 engine because i am going to need ALOT of parts out of it for the 86 project engine. the kicker gear came apart at one time and pretty much destroyed alot of expensive stuff. I decided tonight that i am going to keep, and build, both tri-zs. two is always better than one... right? I'll get some pics up soon. thanx guys.
