Question Has anyone had a CDI module go bad?

I see them go for big bucks on EBay, but never hear anyone posting problems with theirs...... never had one go bad in any of my trikes either. Has anyone actually had a CDI module go bad on them? Does the bike just quit completely or what?

One went bad on a friends TRX200sx. I know they normally don't go bad so I replaced the stator coil, ignition coil, and wiring harness before finally replacing the CDI.
