Yep, all the automatics get ed. The left sidecase is the first gasket that gets unsealed on the SX and ES/Red. The one pin to the lower right of your shift drum is the pin that snaps or comes loose. Be sure to check it out.
I have'nt owned an ES but the SX has a few metal shouldered collars all very similar to the one you found.
How did you yank the motor?, I hope you didn't pull the output shaft with the allen head bolts. It's best to pull off the rubber boot and slide the driveshaft back. But, if you did yank the output - I know how to get it back in correctly...
