I have seen some threads on here about atc 200r's. I have never seen one and was wandering if they were built by honda or are customs (What year's?). Thank you

Sleeved down 250r motors to run in the 200X classes of racing I beleive. Ill let OC chime in here, he has one sitting in his gigantic museum/show peice room of his!

Im pretty sure that they were customs bored down to race in different classes? Thats all I can think of why you would bore it down. But honda never made a prodution 200r as far as I know.
1986 200x- old school D.I.D wheels, Gold D.I.D X-Ring Chain, Rad MFG. Carrier, PRM Grab Bar, Pro Circuit T-4 custom, Maier plastics, 85x forks, 18x10.5x8 kenda klaw mxr's on itp steels, the money pit never ends

2004 YFZ450 - CP 12.5:1, cam mod , gibson nerfs, hmf pipe, protaper bars + risers, dg bumper/skids, holeshot gncc's on itps, cycra handguard and more stuff to come.

Curtis Sparks used to whip those 250R all day long on the flat track with his 1985 200X.

Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.

It was a sleeved down 250r motor to run and kick ass in the 200x class. Rare is a understatement!

AMA Motocross/supercross class is 150cc-250cc for 2 strokes or 251cc-450cc for 4 strokes so its kind of even. I take it back then they didnt seperate the 2 strokes from the 4 (or at least compensate the displacement)? And the R motor in the X frame? Doesnt the R have better suspension? Is the X frame light enough to make all that work worth while?
