    Kazuma 50cc Quad Questions

My buddy got a 50 Kazuma quad for his kid for christmas....I looked at this thing today and I'm astounded by the pipe on it, regular sized can muffler, but the outlet is a 1/4in outlet tube about 1-2 inches in length, very similar to the metal fuel line on a carb. This seems pretty restrictive to me and we are thinking of cuttin out the 1/4inch tube and boring the muffler out to take a 1/2in or 5/8th's tube or perhaps bigger.......any concerns or words of encouragement from anyone ?

Its only a 50. I have noticed what you are talking about on my neigbors 50cc Kazuma. It has the same tiny little hole. Hasnt seem to hurt anything on his and they have had it over a year now.

I've seen the little Kazuma go and it seems to get up pretty good for it's size, but I just think that's too small in general.

My daughter used to have one of these, and I cut the muffler open, took out the baffle, and welded in about an 1 1/2" outlet and it did seem to pep it up a bit. If nothing else, it sounded a whole lot better.
