Bling for the R (it just keeps piling in!)

Got the rim I bought from Howard polished up to replace the gold rim (gotta match the polished rims on the paddles you know) and got the crusty looking dinged up forks blinged out.

Got some new evo grips in today too. Next up, painting the hubs.

    Dune season is coming!

No way. I don't have the equipment to get results like that. The forks were in pretty rough shape so I took the stuff to a pro. The rim I probably could have done myself but it doesn't cost a ton to have an already polished part touched up so that was a no brainer. The forks cost a little bit though because of the shape they were in to start with.

I still don't have my compressor wired up so I can't powdercoat yet (and I may be moving so I might have bought all that stuff for nothing). I'm just going to and clearcoat the front and rear hubs and see how long it lasts. I think it'll be ok on the front but I bet the rear hubs get sandblasted pretty quick.

My local shop told me 70 bucks out the door for a new one. This is a used one though. I got it from a board member.

$60 out the door for all three pieces. Would have been less if the forks were in better shape. More than I wanted to spend but it beats doing it by hand which is my only alternative right now. Wouldn't look near as good either. You have to see it in person to really appreciate it.

I did but I don't think we're talking about the same wheel because the tire on it was completely hosed.sent you.

Not leaving the state. Might just be selling the house and going back to renting for a while.
