not that much modding, just custom motor mounts. DON'T weld the motor in the frame! make sure you can get it out! the realtrick is the pipes. you will probly want to run custom pipes..... it will haul ass either way!

Man I wish I had more help down here and time...I could have a frame jig whipped up in a few days with some help if we worked on it.

That is a cool project. I would do the banshee motor anyday over the air 490. Is this going to be for drag only or all around?

Doubt that. Chain alignment, exhaust ports coming out right where the main tubes are, kick start clearance... All those issues and more make it much more than a bolt-in deal with custom mounts.

it will not be as hard as you guys are thinking. a good welder and some good measurements will get it done.i have already researched this and abolished the idea for now. i figured, a banshee motor will just be overkill for the z chassis. i have not found a way to get all the horsepower to the ground. you will either spin the tires for days,or sky the front end.maybe someone will get the trick setup.in any sense, the fuel pump set-up will not work on a big bore cheetah shee engine.a top mount fuel tank is needed for sure.but good luck with that and,i hope it goes well.
Here is where my long useless list of stuff nobody cares about should go...

If its a dragger, Orangeshee can simply put a Y Zinger tank on the Z or get one of those aluminum jobs.

Excellent idea Orangeshee....you are the man!

But hey...wait a minute!! What about an LT 500R Quadzilla engine in that bike?

    I'll throw one more for you....KTM 550 M/XC engine...or the KTM 500 engine...65 HP stock!

I think there are alot of people on here that should try to get a job with one of the big three, I would love to see what ya'll could do with their money and your imagination. Good luck with the project, Cant wait to see the progress pics and watch the build unfold.

There are no stupid questions, but there are alot of stupid people out there that ask questions.

chain alignment is the same for all bike motors with the chain on the left, exhaust ports will be off slightly, and custom pipes would help quite a bit, and kickstart isnt really a problem because they are cast steel and can be heated up and tweaked or you may need to make a custom one. plus you wouldnt mod the rame for the kickstart. the kicker would be modded. ive done about 7 engine swaps and they usually seem like more than they end up being, especially the 2 strokes....
