    Spark Plug's - which to choose for 85-86 250R

    Ok went out to buy some spark plug's this pass weekend and -

    Honda Sale's men told me - we have a

    Brand - NGK

    1. a $2.50 plug - (BR8ES or BR9ES)

    2. a $5.50 plug Recommends - (B8EG

    3. a $8.50 plug - (don't have model number

    what the difference and is it worth the money

    What Sprak plugs are you running ?

    Whats the Best Sprak Plug out their ?

    NGK Iridium IX Spark Plugs BR9EIX

    Jet it with the BR8 or 9ES....PENDING on Jetting on what plug to use ...the 8 is HOTTER !!! do not EVER use a "7" !!!! TOO HOT !!!
    after jetting ....... Then use the "BR8EG or the BR9EG" !!!

    i have found the 8es to be better than all the other plugs i have used
    nippondenso to-irridium
    jet it right -golden brown is what you want the plug too look like
    not black-oil
    white -too lean
    wet -too much fuel

    I run a B8ES in mine, havent had any trouble yet.
    1985 Honda ATC 350X
    2003 Yamaha Banshee
    2003 Polaris Sportsman 500

    I run B8ES in everything I own too. Hard to find the R resistor types around here.

    the "BR8EG" plugs are nice, if it runs real hot for some reason while youre riding or you run alcohol and accidentally jet it lean it is cheap insurance....they have a very fine center electrode and it will melt and your motor will barely run if it gets too hot, cheaper to replace a 5$ plug than a 150$ topend....
    1985 Honda ATC250R drag trike with s/t kit and full drag CR hybrid motor and drag chassis...
    1986 Honda ATC250R daily rider fully modded engine, +4 swinger,etc...
    1997 Polaris Storm 800 triple, boyesen reeds, dg individual silencers, 240 studs, 123mph on radar...

    i always run BR8ES in my 250r and they seem to work really well
    1986 atc 250r
    1986 atc 350x
    1985 kawasaki tecate (new guy)
    2002 trx 400ex
    1984 atc 70
    1998 RM 125
    2006 ltr 450

    Thats what the owners and service manual says to run.
