Hey I have an 85' 200S motor mounted on a 200X frame, Because of this I think the chain has alot of slack in it restricting torque..The chain droops down quite a bit and constintly rubs against the chain rail/guard on the frame...
How much slack is too much?..and how would I go about removing a link to tighten it up a bit..?

use a chain tool here in usa *Edited* can get them at northern tool but i dunno bout canada but *Edited* just remove the chain the out links and put it back on with a master link

take the chain off, use a dremel or grinder, take out one link and reinstall make sure your adjuster is all the way out before you start doing this you whack a link out and find out you didn't adjust and its another 100 beaver bucks for an O-ring chain

You can do it with out the chain tool easily, I did it a few days ago. Just grind or file down one of the pegs and tap it out then just join it with the master link. easy as that.

This may be a stupid question, I know..But how many links should this chain have??..Does anyone know..
I don't wanna chop one out then realize I needed it....Don't feel like dropping some 100 "Beaver Bucks" on a new chain..
If I had a digital camera I could show yous how much it sags..

I don’t know how many links it is supposed to have but have you tried tightening the chain with the adjuster or trying to pull the axel back. May want to try that before messing with the chain.

on my 185s to move the axel back there is 4 big lug nuts. loosen all 4 and pullback the backend to move it and then tighten your lugnuts back up. if *Edited* want to take a lenght out all we did was take the master lock off take a lenght off then put the master lock back on and i was ready to go.
