    CDI advance ?

I have a 125 motor I am putting back together. The springs on the advance are broke. Can I just buy some small springs from the auto or hardware store? Or should I just use one in better shape.
    Thanks

The springs they used in the advancers are probably made specifically for the advancers. You could probably get by with auto part store springs, but they may be stronger or weaker than the oem ones. If they don't have the correct springyness ( best way I can describe it ), then it could cause a loss of power from your motor.

Bottom line is this: If it was my machine, I would find a good advancer and install it. I wouldn't take the chance of lossing power.
