    New Pics

Alright I finally got around to takin pics of my newly powdercoated rims. They are FILTHY so please look past the dirt. Its been to cold to clean it. Oh and btw, if any of you remember my posts about the 5 vs. 6 speed, I had my gf pace me today going down the highway. With the 5 speed and 18 inch kendas on the back she topped out just over 65mph. I was SHOCKED, I figured it topped out just under 60 but hey no complaints. Let me know what you think of the rims

Looks wicked! I did 115-120 kph(according to converter to MPH thats 74 mph) with 22's. I can do around 105(65 mph) now with 20's. Problem with cars are that they arent totally accurate. But Tri-Z's are still fast!

I'm planning on using black rims on at least one of my projects as well. Been debating powdercoat versus anodizing.

Looks good. Personally I'd change the hub color to yellow on there for a little contrast.

well I painted the hubs black with the intention of polishing the rims. but after 4 hours with a sander on the front wheel and still no progress i said screw it and had them powdercoated. as soon as i feel like not being able to ride for a few days i'm gonna have the hubs powdercoated yellow.

Looks good. Did they put clear on the rims or is it just a flat black?

no clear coat, its a semi-gloss black so its got a little bit of shine if its clean.
