Do trx and atc 70 parts interchange?

I have an 82 or 83 atc70 that i need lots of parts for like the engine side case, pullstart, carb, wiring harness, intake tube between carb and engine. Also will any atc 90 parts fit or just the atc 70? thanks

The trx70 parts wil fit, the atc90 engine will fit also. If you have a whole running atc90 engine, use that instead, much more fun. Not sure about the wiring harness though, check bike bandit out and see if matching part numbers.

most trx 70's have a cdi type ignition, your 83 atc 70 has points. Most of the parts will interchange, I can tell you the side cover and pull start will not interchange without a complete engine swap. Same as the wiring harness and coil. Everything else will. As far as the atc 90 the points are on the cam shaft not underneath the flywheel so they will not interchange, And the coil has the condensor attached to it. The intake is larger, the carb larger, the pull start larger. I don't think any atc 90 parts will fit the atc 70.
I can tell I have a 1986 trx 70 and 2 1984 atc 70's. The trx 70 is a work in progress, I am still looking for a pull start cage, because the ones I have for the atc will not work. I am really close to pulling the Stock cdi motor and putting in a atc 70 motor with points, just because the one part I need I cannot find and is discontinued. I have heard a lot of folks talking about putting atc 90 and atc 110 and 125 motors in the atc 70's. I have both atc 110's and atc 70's an I have taken the motors out just to see If they will interchange. The holes on the frames do not line up to the mounts on the motors. I think You will have to alter your frame to do so, I am really not sure but I think the chains are a different size also, so you will need to find a different sprocket for the rear if you were to do so. Also not sure if the chain tensioner will work either. Just seems like too much work for me, why not buy a bigger bike. My atc 70's and 110's are for my boys anyway and the stock set up is enough power for them.

ok to clear the confusion,,,, ATC90 parts will NOT interchange with ATC70 trx70,,,and most don't know this BUT the TRX90 is the same motor as a ATC70 the next generation 90 motor sahres the same transmission as ALL atc70 motors

The TRX70 is worth more, and much more rare than the ATC70. Yeah, I know we are supposed to worship trikes to the point of being dumb about it, but if I had both, to make one good one, Id be building the TRX70.
