Well i just bought a ceet seat cover and before i install it i wanted to know if there was any way to fix small chunks of missing foam? I tried to cut pieces of foam out of something else and tried to fill the missing chunks in but had no luck.
besides i doubt the little pieces would stay in one stop after the cover is on.
So what have you guys found out that worked best for you?

If youre not too picky---try Industrial spray foam for construction- it may be a little hard in spots but it will bond right to your existing foam- Smooth it over , let it dry and put your seat cover on
Buy American! Unless your only option is a HARLEY.

if you really dont care about a crappy fix i would just stuff the chucks with smaller chunks, put some sort of adhesive and then put tape over it to hold it in place the recover the foam. I dunno * can do many ways to fix it.

Got the holeshot
You will see the chunks unless you fix them. I would take it to an auto apholstery (sp) shop and have them have new foam for you. It's worth the extra money and isnt too expensive.

Contact cement spray adhesive.....
cut the existing seat foam cleanly with a BREAD KNIFE.. if you have one of those electric meat carving knifes they work great on foam !!
Then cut a square cube that fits perfectly in the cut spot...
spray contact cement on both pieces.. let it dry a bit... and squeeze the foam cube into position and let it stick.
voila !

oh ... BTW... test the glue on a junk piece of foam to see how the glue acts.. you will notice that they call it " CONTACT CEMENT " for a reason !!!

Get thee to an uphostery shop and buy a chunk of high density foam. That's what is used for trike/bike seats. Cut pieces to fitr and use a good spray adhesive to keep it all together. Recover, and it's done.

If the holes arn't very deep then glue a piece of 1/4" foam to seat first ,Then put the cover on.This will fill in any imperfections.Another way you can do it is shave a thin layer of the foam off.Like you are cutting bread.then take 80 grit sand paper and sand the foam.Sand all of you edges also,to make it symmetrical again.The other way was listed above,But only use this if it is a major hole.this is where you use an electric bread knife and cut a square ot of the original seat.then glue in a new block.I do custom seats for a living.I do these methods all of the time.If you need any other help just ask.
