    1987 GT Performer bike

This is a sweet bike but what is up with the price? Never seen one that high.

    Whoa!!!

That is a classic right there. They were $3-$400 new back in the day.

Where's scottjz?... He collects those. Kind of makes me wish I didn't beat all my bikes to death when I was a kid

I love the name of the pedals... MEAT TENDERIZERS!!! lol

It's a nice bike but it's not accurate. In '87 GT came out with the s shaped downtube instead of just the single bend up by the head. That is an older frame with '87 decals. I know this because I bought an '87 Pro Performer brand new when I was a kid. Sold it on ebay a couple of years ago for like $200 (kicks self in ass).

Yep, I also had one of those.

My favorite bike was my Dyno D-tour. Anyone remember those. Loved that thing. Cost me over 3 bills when I was just 14. That was tons of dough back then.

Wow! Never thought those bikes were worth that kind of dough. Looks like I'm gonna have to dig out my old Haro Sport that I bought new in '88. It's been in storage for many years now. Maybe I can cash it in for some three wheeler parts!

Kit needs a little help with the sprockets on the intermediate shaft. Haven't done anything with it yet, as the bike it's intended for is still in many, many pieces and has no motor. Anybody got a good 85 R motor they wanna let go of cheap?

I have a 80 something gt pro freestyle tour that looks just like that. I have had it since I was 14 among alot of other bikes in my collection like a oldschool zeronine freestyler,3 dyno comps, haro master, haro basher, and peregrine bmx I have been buying them for a collection, that I could not have when I was a kid and now can buy them!
