    1982 250r

I have a couple questions about this trike. First of all I just bought it for 60.00. I really like the tank design if the 85-86 250r. If i buy the tank shrouds and all plastics w/ seat can I install on the 82? Also what is the difference between the 82 and the 83-84 bikes. Any info would be great. Thanks.

I wouldnt do that. Just buy an 85 or 86. I wouldnt chop up an 82 to make it look like an 85.

Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.

Differences include: Upgraded suspension front and rear, skinny tire in the front, tank has shrouds for the 83-84.

Engine parts are interchangable for 81-84 models.

Thanks for the info. Will the body panlels off the 83-84 fit. I dont like the gas tank on the 82. I like the 85-86 or the 83-84 tank will work. Thanks

I'm not sure if the other year tanks will fit.

I think if I was you I'd sell your 82 and buy a newer model instead of trying to change the 82, just what I'd do.

Agreed. There's way too many differences and it wouldn't look right even if you did it.

I messed around with a 200x tank on my old roller I had, but I don't think it made it look any better. Here's a pic of it finished with the stock tank ceramichromed.

LHAITZSS, most of us here bleed red..... er, that is, we don't like to see the shrinking pool of complete Trikes get reduced any more than is necessary. Coincidentally, Blazer has some of the most "modified" trikes I've ever seen.

Blazer, what are they getting $ to ceramichrome a tank or pipe ? I have a pipe that I want coated.

4 stroke pipes are 40.00 and 2 stroke pipes are $80.00 give or take a few bucks, the tank was $75.00

Hey Dave your 82 250R is radical! Blazer does great work, I can attest to that. Let me know if you ever want to part with your 82, I would be happy to drive up there. Allan

truth be told guys, if he only paid $60 for it, then it probably ain`t some mint beauty that should be kept virgin and intact......most likely kinda rough, so chopping it up some wouldn`t quite be the sacriledge ya`ll are making it out to be....and don`t get me wrong, i`m right there with ya`ll when it comes to being hard core about NOT breaking up trikes for unnecessary reasons.......i like to see `em kept whole whenever possible!

    trikes owned:
