    identifing the exact model of my ytm

    i have what i was told a 1985 ytm 200. ive seen other ytm's with diff letters behind the 200. what numbers (frame or engine) would you gurus need to help me out? TIA

    21v-013868 is stamped on my frame's headstock, and on my engine case.

    I don't have my Yamaha book... but from memory, sounds like a 1983 YTM200K...

    21V = 200 chain drive...

    I am looking at my manual, it says...
    YTM200K ------------->21V-000101 to 100100

    Its a 1983 YTM200
    The K means '83

    didnt yamaha stop making the 200 in 1985 since they came out with the 225's?

    Ahh Mine Is A Mystery I Think Also Lol Its A 83 Ymaha Ytm200 I Believe.. Help Me Its Not Chain Driven Has Electric Start Option No Reverse Just Up Gears I Think 5 Gears. Its Yellow And Has Miniuni Carb Miniuni Is Not How Its Spelled Im Guessing Lol Thanks Plz Help Send A Messge Thanks! -joe-[b]

    Most likely it's a 84 Yamahauler, but to be sure post up some serial numbers and we can look it up.

    Sounds like it is a 1983 YTM 200EK. Post the serial # & someone here will tell you for sure.

    sounds like 225 dx ytm. same carbs on both models/.

    How do you know that?
    he said its an 83 yamaha 200
    it has elec start
    shaft drive

    The only 200cc elec start, shaft trike in 83 was the Yamahauler 200E.

    All yamaha's have mikuni carbs too.

    cause the 225 it electric start and is shaft driven, plus he said 85, were there 200 made in 85????? i really dont know, sounds like a 200?? or a 225/ if they guy said it was an 85 200 dx i guess it is, or i could be a 225,. never kno

    I think you better re-read his post. He said its an 83.
