I know you could get a speedo for it but, I dont know about an oil cooler.
It'll say the displacement at the back of the base of the cylinder.

The easiest way to tell what they are is by the rear suspension. 84 Big Reds had no rear suspension and the 85s were fully suspended. Also the 84 has a high/low/reverse gearbox and the 85 does it in the tranny.

    Lots O Trikes!!!!!

Your saying your Big Reds have oil coolers???

If they have speedo's you a lucky guy....

As 200xman said, if there is no rear suspension, then the frame is a 200.

the 85's shift into reverse with a red button on the handle bars left side brake lever.. the 84's had a lever located directly on the left side tranny. you had to pull up on the lever and engage High Low Reverse.

again. no rear syspension on the 84 200.. and the 85's and up had rear suspension and were all 250's.

How do the rear plastics attatch and come off ? the 250's had rear seat and plastics on hinges that lift up.. the 84's had 2 part rear plastics bolted to the frame and only the seat cliped off.

An 85 doesn't have hi/low does it? My buddy has a 1985 250 at my house and I've never noticed low range.

If you have had trikes previously, it should be very easy to tell if its a 200 or a 250. My dads 200 Big Reds have significantly smaller heads (or w/e they are called.. the thingy with the "ribs") than my 250..
