    I hate tuning carbs!

Adjusting and tuning carbs is just a pain in the @ss. Everytime you do a mod to the bike, you have to adjust the carb. Everytime the temperature changes, you have to adjust the carb. Then you get it running half way decent and do like me and swap the carb! Then start all over again.

My pilot jetting is so far off on the new carb, the only way it will run is with the idle screw almost bottomed out! You can damn near pull the pilot screw all the way out and it doesn't make a difference. Hit the throttle and huge plumbs of smoke roll from the exhaust. I don't know what this carb used to be on, but it must have needed alot of fuel!

Back to the cycle shop for more pilot jets...Then I have to start on the main jet.

If you have to ask, you wouldn't understand.

    Ditto...

We have duals on our rails.. now try multiple barrels.. different jet combos.. then synching.

Maybe we should develop a MegaSquirt for the ATC

I love playin with carbs. Makes keeping things running intresting, you can have the best modds on a bike but if its not jetted right its going to run like crap.
