    85 ATC250R .010 pro X piston clearance? (i think itcs called clearance...)

    How much of a clearance and ring gap do I need? We contacted ProX but they wont respond.

    I don't know with that oversized piston, if you have a manual it *might* tell you you the gap for oversized pistons, or maybe its the same for all sizes.

    smash the pro-x piston, get a wiseco, call them, they have much better quality and a excelent help service.

    there's a reason pro-x pistons are so cheap :P

    forged pistons need more clearance .0035 to .005 cast pistons run tighter ,
    .0025 to .0045 ring end gap .009 to .020 all these are in thousands

    I use pro x adn had no trouble talking to someone on the phone about clearence. My cylkinder was bored to the piston and i think i had 14 thousands ring gap and left it at that.
