... All I have to say is you west coast "dunatics" wouldn't stand a chance here in Pa with all these rocks. My arms are JELLO and I feel like I've been run over by a freight train. All in all though a great day of riding in the poconos. The Pohopoco tract is 13 + miles of legal state ATV trails located right across the street from Pocono International Raceway. While alot of the pics will show some nice, clear dirt trails - don't let them fool you - the place is mostly rocks the size of footballs or greater. I would have given my right arm for a nice, cushy independant rear 700 Sportsman. There were a couple of nice long dirt and gravel sections in the middle of the place that let me stretch the Scrammy legs out - as the one pic will prove, you can get a Polaris over 70mph (yes it was on flat ground). One thing to note about the place is that is above 2000ft over sea level and running a 2-stroke, I ended up jetting one size on my main (from 280 to 290 on the 38mmTMX flatslider Micky) just to be safe rather than sorry. I had also adjusted my secondary clutches springs tab holes position to give me me more top end speed just for giggles before we went up - which probably explains the 73mph reading on the Trail Tech. I was definitely at a disadvantage at this place having doing that with all the technical rock sections and I readjusted it back when we got home to give me more bottom end acceleraton. Just an FYI on the top end clutching thing - In drag racing my buddies stock 37hp 500 Scrambler 4x4 (in 2wd) - I was only slightly faster in acceleration but after about 50 mph I started to really pull away (my Stage 1 400 is at around 52hp). Usually with the more "neutral" clutch adjustment - I can out drag him in the dust to 60mph by at least 5 - 6 quad lengths. Anyway, all in all though, a great day of riding.
