A way to cross reference discontinued parts

I have an 85 klt 160 and the intake boots that hold the carb don't exist new or used. Any help on a resource that you guys go to so you can find a new part that will work for discontinued parts

I'm not sure on Kawasaki as I only have Hondas, but what I do is look on Partzilla and/or CMSNL.com then you can see exactly which other models use the same part (you have to be logged in to see more than 10 models - but it is easy and free to sign up). Use the OEM or replacement part number and do a google search. Another alternative is to go to your local chinese motorcycle part shop and see what is the closest fit from what they have available there. If all else fails, build your own part.
