1984 vs 1985 big red 250es

I'm wondering if a 1984 honda big red 250es would be faster than a 1985 or did they only add a reverse gear and nothing else like different gear ratios or heavier chassis

1984 was the 200ES while 1985 was the 250ES in the United States. Both had reverse.
