Hi folks, TrevHead62ay (Trev) here from south west Victoria in Australia. Sorry for the long intro but I thought I'd share my reasons for joining which will hopefully help my blending into the 3wheelerworld of like-minded people.

Now retired, I have a lot of time on my hands and can't wait to finally undertake the restoration of my 1983 ATC250R which I have been dreaming to do for many years. I have to admit I was seriously considering just selling it and do something else with my time like holidaying in sunny Queensland and travel Australia", (the best country in the world by the way), or cruise the south pacific islands, (the list goes on), but that would be all done and dusted in no time and I'd have nothing to show for it hence my decision to restore my 3 wheeler to its original glory.

As mentioned, I've recently retired from the workforce. I worked most of my life in the oil and gas industry but my original trade and passion, (still is), motor mechanics.. anything with a motor in it I guess. I especially love motorcycles. 2, 3 or 4 wheels, I don't care. I'm just drawn to them like a magnet. Kinda like some women are to jewelry or shoe shops.

I live on 5 acres nestled in the rolling hills of the Great Otway National Parks, (beef and dairy country) and with a barn full of toys it goes without saying.. there's mostly motorbikes in it. Amongst them is the '83 ATC250r. It's in pretty poor shape but it's definitely a doerupperer. Parts are hard to get here in Aus so I'm expecting this build to take quite some time and considering the crap exchange rate and freight costs from the US, it's gonna hit the wallet hard. But hey, you can't take it with you right?

I look forward to gaining knowledge and sharing info with the group. No doubt I'll have some curly questions to throw out there.

Cheers,
Trev.
