    Another Axle ID Request

Got this axle with the ‘85 Tecate I purchased, assuming it was a spare & I can confirm it’s not. Pics show dimensions. The major difference is the larger OD where the bearings sit.

    Any feedback is appreciated.

So approximately 40 mm on the bearing ID that would be used on this axle.

It could be a Honda axle 85-89 250r, 400ex, 350x, 450r, use a 40 mill inner race .Also Suzuki Quadracer and Quadsport has 40 inner race size.

Initially thought maybe a 250R, but the hub bolt spacing is much larger than what’s on a Honda (I have an ATC250R and was comparing). Maybe a Quadracer? I’ll do some more investigating. Thanks !

Exactlly! The hub is something like 4 on 156mm. I think that is the bolt pattern for a 1990 model yamaha Banshee.
I do not know the bolt pattern for the quad racer but I have a friend with a 1985 model so I can find out.

Sounds like an early Banshee then, I see the Suzuki QR is 4 x 130 mm (via web search).

Yes my friend with the 85 model said that as well.
    I think 1989 and 1990 banshee used 4 on 156 rear hubs.
    Also the polaris scrambler 400 & 500 and 2003 predator 500.

What’s odd is looking at ‘89 & ‘90 Banshee hubs don’t look like the ones I have:

From your post #1, you have what appear to be Tecate hubs. The hubs pictured in post #10 are indeed Banshee hubs. Both of the hubs in question have the same spline count, and will work on either axle.
