Hello all I am new to the forum, and am getting back into the 3 wheeler world after many years! I am currently helping a friend restore his 1985 ATC250ES, and I have a question concerning aftermarket steering stem bearings. I recently purchased a Moose Racing aftermarket tapered bearing kit (I believe identical to all balls kit, correct me if I'm wrong) I have all the old bearings and races out of the frame and have the lower race installed, but when I go to install the top race (both races are the same height btw) it bottoms out in the frame and protrudes from the top of the frame (shown in pictures), as where the old stock bearing race was flush with the top. Anybody else install this kit that can tell me if this is how it is supposed to be or what problem I have going on here? I have searched all over trying to find the answer and can't seem to. Any help would be immensely appreciated!
