1987 Keyswitch wiring. Help please

I have an 87 I bought. It had a destroyed keyed ignition. It has two male wires that go nowhere. I got a new aftermarket and cobbled together a like original ignition. I’ve spent two days trying to figure out where this plugs into the harness. The leads are long enough to get about 1/2 way down the frame. There is a green white and brown female wires behind the headlight. I plugged the ignition into these and the headlight comes on. Good trick but not correct. I’m stumped about where these wires plug into. Nothing is visible. Maybe someone taped the female ends into the harness? I’m going crazy. The VIN comes back 87’. Any help would be great.

Under the large rubber slip/cover (if u have an 87 harness) i put pics on this site a while ago so i wouldnt need to figure out where i stashed stuff if this question ever got asked in the future- actual harness is in a box somewhere.....
