1983 185s won’t start no matter what

I’ve checked spark, compression, timing, fuel, valves, air. Everything is adjusted and normal but it just won’t start.I got it wet and it ran for a little bit then died on me and won’t start back up again. Anyone know what else I could check to make it run again.

Check your spark advancer assembly. Relly go over it with a fine tooth comb and clean it really well. If the springs get full of rust and corrosion, they will not "snap back" quickly enough to make it run correctly.
