    84 tecate swingarm question

Hello everyone I'm new here and purchased an 84 tecate 3 that I'm in the process of fixing up(waiting for some engine parts to come back) as well as fix up some suspension parts. So my question is it has an aftermarket extended swinger on it that I have no idea who made it. The spring is from some Chinese pit bike or so looks like and the bushings from the frame to the swingarm are shot and I have no idea what ones to buy since I don't know who made the swingarm lol. Any help would really be appreciated as I'm trying to get this thing buttoned up. Also does anyone know the length of the factory swingarm I want to know how extended mine is. Thanks.

Any aftermarket swingarm should use the factory spec needle bearings, sleeves, and seals. Post up some pics, of the swingarm, and someone will probably be able to ID the swingarm for you.

There might be some picture posting restrictions on you because of your low post count, but I'm not sure. When you go to post something, use the "Go Advanced" button. On the next screen, if you scroll down, you will see a "Manage Attachments" button. Once you click that, you should be able to figure out how to upload pics from your computer. If you're trying to upload directly from your phone, I'm the wrong guy to ask, LOL. All of my phone pics, I transfer to my PC, then upload to this site from there.

YOU have to upload photo to 3ww off a desk top PC, not a phone. It does not work with my phone anymore. Its not OEM from the looks. Not HRE either from the looks but hard to tell need a small size

I’ll guess the ‘84 & ‘85 Tecate swingarms are the same length, if so, I’ll measure what’s on my ‘85 and post up the number.

Not a bad looking swingarm. I want to say that stock is around 17" from center of pivot to axle center. They are very short.

Good call - I measured 17.5” with the axle bearing carrier assembly adjusted to about the halfway mark.
