Anytime I sell something I regret it a few months later. I just can't part with much anymore, especially all the aftermarket stuff or the OEM parts that are super expensive in hard to find now.

Look at seats, gas tanks, frames, axles, swingarms, even forks have doubled in price!!

Now everyone should know why I bought every single "take out" motor I could find back 15 years ago. I always paid between 700 and 1000$ shipped, some came with carbs, kickers and a shift lever, some came with a NOS rear shock, or "take out" I should call them.

Around 2001 I placed 3 1000$ orders with Service Honda, you'd be surprised how much was still available back then. Some of those parts have turned into a small goldmine...

talking about spare parts. the last 185s 200s pile of parts I bought, the guy was downsizing his hardtail stuff. so he contacts me again and has a few more parts he's never going yo use but wants a bit more for the parts than I want to pay. But if the 2 tanks and headlights are as good as he says, it should be a decent deal when I figure what I paid for the other 3 trikes plus this next haul. j
On a side note, is anyone buying the dented rusted ebay tanks for 100 plus dollars? and what are they doing with them? jim

Dented and rusted tanks for $100+? Not this guy.

Something like that is going to need 2x-4x the cost in labor and materials to get back into usable condition if done by the owner, let alone if they have a shop do all the work. If just wanting to ride, buy a plastic tank and be done. I just looked and there's new ones on Ebay for $140, shipped. They're not the best looking things, but say buh-bye to rust and futzing with a beat up old tank that could srping a leak any second.

Keep stacking those hardtail parts. When it's all said and done, they're the simplest trikes, the easiest to keep everything up on, and still fun to ride.

dragged home a few parts this morning. nice orange 110 or 90 tank with a matching round headlight with switch. Bent front forks but top plate and handle bars and thumb throttle is good. new plastic 185s tank, a repaired 185 tank with cap. my 110 doesn't have a seat, he gave me a plastic seat base off maybe a quad to cut down and make a base. ton of marine vynle to recover the seat And he's picking up some trike this week and might have a good 185s seat pan in the next pile of parts he's bringing home. jim

this goes back awhile, but decided to update this post. my old go to guy for atc parts passed away a couple months back. There's a place selling all these hardtail projects on marketplace and I finally went and looked. His family was friends with Brian the atc parts guy, they basically made a deal to get it all off the property and he's just selling projects and a few parts. grabbed a 185s tank for 25 bucks that's got sealer on the seam. a 9 inch aluminum wheel for 15 bucks. I'm going to stop by every week or so as he cleans Brian's property he's moving it to his store. unfortunately I don't think there's any seats or plastics unless I want to buy a whole project for 250 to 300 bucks. jim
