By all appearance it ran at one time. They did a good installation swap. The one issue with the NX, XR or XL swaps was the oil tank. Please post pic's of oil tank. As far as spark the NX CDI black box has a known problem with bad solder joints inside, not that its your problem, but a common test is to smack the box with a screw driver handle and if you get spark its the corporate.
