When putting an engine in a frame that didn't come factory; welding in new motor mounts.....what tricks are there for getting the chain perfectly aligned? Aside from sticking a chain on it and sighting down the chain like rifle sights.

I was born and raised on Venus & I may be here a while.....
measure the sprocket depth from the oringinal motor / frame or a long stright edge. measuring is better since all sprockets noramal wiggle up front
I wish i had something to measure.
Totally different set up, the original was. I'm gonna try to stick a 185s engine into a Baja mini bike. My mock engine sits in there with a little room to spare but all the motor mounts are gonna have to be made.
