    $3 Honda flywheel puller

Many of you would know this I'm sure but I post this for the guys like me who don't know and are learning.

Don't pay for a flywheel puller for your Honda ATC200Es (and others). Go to Autozone and buy a lug stud for a 2015 VW beetle, the year and make are arbitrary, most every VW uses the same one. For $3 you get a 14mm bolt with a 17mm head. Thread it in, hit it with your impact wrench and she will pop off as pretty as you please.

Too cheap to pay $3 or in a bind and need it now? Your front axle will do the same thing.

An oldie but a goodie. I just bought a hex head bolt at the local hardware store.

I've always seen the advice about the using the front axle as it's the same thread pitch. I've never tried it myself, but how do you turn the axle with enough torque to break the flywheel loose? Doesn't make sense to me. Anybody actually succeed doing it?

Some model 200cc's had a hex head on the axle. That would be the one. The other type with a simple hole in it would not work well. UNLESS, it was a junk axle and then you could put a pipe wrench to it.

I was shocked by how easy it was. I've pulled flywheels on other makes of engines and some are a real bear. I literally opened the plastic bag this VW stud was in, ran it in with my fingers and bumped the impact twice and the flywheel fell into my waiting hand.
