    A real 3B Tri Moto?

Doubtful, but it is nice to think that Stevie Wright (a 125-200 class animal) once rode it. I would love to believe it was an original California built trike but to be honest some of the workmanship seems a bit crude. IMHO. I am sure if Brett sees this post he could give us his honest opinion. Here is what I do know. I found it in a former lawnmower repair shop in Dayton, Ohio that I was contracted to tear down to make way for a new Speedway gas station. The owner told me that years and years ago he had traded an ATC 70 and some cash for it. It seems his son raced 3 wheelers and was ready to step up to the next class. He didn't know much about the previous owner other than he knew he lived in Columbus, Ohio.....The triple clamps seem very nicely done. I would believe if nothing else perhaps this was a Dirt E Works, or Tricky Dicks conversion. I ran the numbers on the engine and the come back as a 1979 YZ 125. I have no idea what forks it has other than it has a set of Gator wipers on them which are definitely vintage. The rear axle carrier is the same as my Tri Moto 175. The swingarm is obviously hand made and like I mentioned earlier, a bit crude. The rear shock seems to be off of a 1981 ATC 250R. The fuel tank looks to me like a 81-82 YZ 250. The rear fender assembly and front fender are obviously standard Tri Moto stuff, but with a very cool and vintage High Flite Seat. It has some cool vintage decals on it along with boots covering the rear axle that resemble shock boots off of a 4X4 truck. Check out the kill switch, in my day they were made by "Petty", prior to that they were "Petty Maley", this one simply says "Maley". No doubt this thing has some history behind it. I can't wait to get it going!

Definitely a Cool Find. Front forks appear to be HPATC.
Post some better pixs of the rear swing arm. Dont think it's a 3B Lightening bike. They generally used their own plastics.
Someone put some time into it.

    I like it!

Goodyears on the back with an Odyssey up front. Definitely Old School. Flat Track Ready!

    A real 3B Tri Moto?

I absolutely love it. I literally just hung up the phone (with Craig) and we were talking about a Pro-tec 175. I'd really like to find one someday. I'm not especially poised to purchase one at this particular moment but I'd love to end up with something like this eventually. If you want to move it along at some point keep me in mind. :-)

My son painted the rear swingarm. It was silver when we picked it up. For a chain tensioner it had some sort of lawn mower pulley rigged up. LOL. Oh well it fit in well with out Pro Tec Tri Moto and has been quite the conversation piece.

As requested. Check out the bottom of the swingarm how it has different shock mounts.

That thing is so cool. Fabio stole the words right out of my mouth.

I would race that thing every chance I got, you would kill depending on what classes you got put into. Don't even get me started on the rider and bike on the 175 this last year at TF.
Then someone parked it in front of me....jealous.

LOL, That's my old 82. My son rode it last year at trikefest. He's the cover shot on Facebook!

Is he the one that split the Honda in half in the 200 Hardtail race? I was right behind him when it happened, not what I was expecting to see as he went up that berm LOL! Then I got tangled up with somebody on the next lap and went over the bars right before that same turn.

I suspect that section of the track was built on an Indian burial site.

Yes that would be him. Mickey worked his a-- off to get it tuned up for the race, its only a 110 but runs like a scalded ape! He thought he would jump over the center of the double turn and that is what happened. lol This is a picture of him down at Earlywines indoor MX in Kentucky on my old NACS cannondale. And I wonder why I have grey hair...

LOL! That's my pit crew/camera man/bunkmate , AKA "The Stud" on the right of the photo looking over the carnage. That's my cell phone in his right hand.
