    Oooooooooo

    I wish I had dunes

I am 90% scared of my 250 R. (I’m not as manly as all of you guys )Nevertheless, I have a small field to bomb around in. Nothing like those dunes where you could really experience the bike. My trails are way rocky. That was the reason that I had to sell the big husky bike. 500cc two-stroke dirtbike on my trails was a recipe for disaster

Had to take down one of my 25’ trees at work today. It dried out real bad, lost every needle on every branch. Never did take on water over the time it was up. The other tree is still very much fresh hasn’t lost any of its needles. I’ve never ever seen a tree do this.

Interesting. Did you cut it? Anything different? New chain oil, contact with some other chemical like gas?

No nothing different, we did cut it ourselves, both trees same day same chain saw.. Maybe it was just stressed.. the owner of the tree farm where I got it from is asking some tree experts in Michigan if they have ever encountered this..

With the nice weather over Christmas and the lake ice close to a foot thick we weren't long in getting a rink cleaned off. The only challenge is keeping the hole on the beverage can from freezing up :-). Today after it warms some (currently 3F), we're planning on a run across the lake a ways to have a wieney roast. I'll post pics later.

I Googled it and it seems to be a pretty common thing. The posts say to cut at least a 1/4" off the bottom when you see that it's not taking water. Something to do with sap hardening. There's a few other do and don't tips about how to make the cut as well. Who knew

Unfortunately for me the size of the tree prevents any further it’s once it’s up. I did try drilling some holes in it but I think I was a bit late in the game for that to work

This tree was cut thanksgiving of 2018, stored in a building never picked up from a customer. My buddy at the tree farm Gave it to me because I thought it was cool. I set it up on my patio with lights on it. Odd thing is that it is still completely pliable, hasn’t let st a single needle, not a dry branch on it, explain that
