Getting those shots is scary with how bad infections can be due to pharmaceutical overuse/misuse breeding super bacteria in hospitals and clinics. That's a one way street too, loaded with a bunch of other bad things from long term use.

Chronic pain sucks. It'd be great if you could find another type of treatment, or at least something to postpone the joint jabs.

On a funny medical note, I came across an odd documetary today, The Dickumentary. It stretches across several chapters, but one guy with a perfectly functioning member decided to risk going through enlargement surgery. He did end up with a larger penis, because it got infected. The thing looked like a large pink grubworm and he commented on how he thought it was a good looking penis before surgery. Doh!

Maybe that wasn't funny to him, but i laughed.

I'm pretty sure it happened thru too much lifting at work but constantly using the smallest guy to lift stuff is like I keep kicking a guy in the balls every few hours...after awhile you can't take anymore....wait I have an office job!...oh I forgot no I have you do whatever I say office job...once I can heal and have some good interviews I'm gone.

My cease and disciest letter from pain management really hit home with employeer now. I think they thought I was making it all up.

I lost a job where I was the boss to take $8/hr less to be treated like dirt. It's been hard to swallow but was more than funempoymemt.

I'm on muscle relaxers and nerve brain activity reduces.. it works however I feel high all day long and can not focus, get dizzy / blurred vision too. Not to mention my mouth taste like I ate 12lbs of chocolate all day long...it's disgusting. I don't ever want to eat candy again or have a can of coke.

Good news...New trike build....and can't lift anything over 10lbs. dr told me to get medical weed card.....I want a new job more than the legal weed. A decent office job will still drug test. The covid 19 ordeal has not treated my family nice in the employment department. We lost 30k off our annual income. I really didn't need this, I can't pick my daughter up anymore right now.

If you haven't tried CBD or Delta 8 THC, they may help, without the side effects of feeling high. It looks like both are completely legal in PA.

You could get a government job. You may find that many of them don't do drug tests, but will require a background check. Go to usajobs.gov and have a look.

You may also consider that having a medical card could automatically disqualify you from having a concealed carry license. It'll depend on your state.

Good luck on your new project.

I got a bike ride in today. That bridge is nearly 90 years old and used to be on the main highway through this area.

After getting sick last year and having an injury this year, I think I'm getting out of the rut. It felt good to pedal some miles today in the nice weather. Between sickness and injury, I lost about a month of really being able to do anything close to my normal and that put me behind on my to-do list.

I went to a fuel station today. I'll be riding my bicycle more.

This summer is going to be empty highways and bad for tourism.

I think my truck still has $2+ gasoline in it. I figure a refill is going to be $200+ if I run my 55 gallon capacity near empty before. I've got a friend who has some 18 wheelers and what he's spending on fuel a week is nuts. Thats two 100 gallon tanks to fill. Do the math at $4+ per gallon and at least double that for each week. Y'all are going to see some really bad things this year and the poor are going to become much poorer. Crime is going to go way up, especially theft. A weak econonomy and a weak legal system is going to throw this country back to the wild west times and it isn't as romantic as Hollywood makes it out to be.

The unarmed will be prey and weak city mayors will stand by as citizens are preyed upon as long as they can get voted in the next election. Evil is at the doorstep in the US and anyone who opposes it is at odds with the current federal administration. Evil is here and only needs the good to step aside.

AM Edit: Ugh. Deep breath. Going to try and get a short motorcycle ride in before the rain this morning.

I got a short motorcycle ride in today. I was going to hike a little, but it started raining and where I wanted to hike gets wicked slick when wet.

I did talk to the campground host for a good half hour or so and learned some more history about the area.

A news headline I read today gave me a chuckle.

'HARVEY WEINSTEIN CAUGHT SMUGGLING MILK DUDS'

The mental image of someone smuggling Milk Duds in prison wasn't enjoyable though. Good thing I read the story and they were still in the box.

Spent Sunday afternoon watching a small group learning the basics of motorcycle riding...including my wife.

They used nice little Kawasaki Eliminators.

I've had an AFR discrepancy on my 300 Ford with cylinders 1,2,3 and 4,5,6 that I suspected was because of the intake manifold.

I'm using a dual wide band AFR/Lambda gauge and each header has an O2 sensor in the collector.

The way inline six intake manifolds are made when using a single carb, that shouldn't be the case. The problem is the Offenhauser intake I'm using is similar to the current C-series except it has a solid divider. It has a 360 cast into it instead of the C-series designation. AFAIK, it is hard to come by and I've not seen another one for sale. I bought it used.

    Here's the current C-series:

    Here's what I've got:

They both have the 'hybrid' design with the divider in the center.

Instead of making permanent modifications to the intake, I decided to use a carb spacer to open the area between, to see if that was the issue.

There are spacers available to suit my needs but I wanted to save some moola. I didn't want to use an open spacer and have the mixture slamming into totally flat areas, so I bought a four hole phenolic spacer that I could cut down.

    One of these:

I used a router to make the initial cuts. I affixed the spacer to a board and laid that on some rubber material to hold it steady.

First cut with a straight router bit.

The current C-series won't have this AFR issue, but the odd-ball one I have does.

I took it for a test drive and the spacer fixed the issue! It's a bit of a bandage, but it works. AFR is now matching on all cylinders. I do need to retune the carb though, as it changed some things through the cruise/part throttle range. I did pick up about a pound of vacuum at cruise, which should help fuel economy.

The carb tuning kit I need has been out of stock since last year and it's still unknown how much longer until it's available. I'm having to monitor the AFR gauge and force the carb into enrichment mode when it leans out under a light load. I have a kit for another carb but it doesn't have enough parts to allow me to fine tune it. I'm having to compromise the tune and I don't want to buy individual parts because when I travel I need extra rods and springs to make quick adjustments.
