Does the YFZ win? If it does, that Banshee rider is stupid and doesn't know how to ride.

1985 Big Red 250

no the second run the YFZ is in the lead but then the banshee blows by it. the video pretty much just shows that the YFZ in almost stock form keeps up the the 70 HP banshee really well.

LONG LIVE THE 2 STROKES !!!
Thats pretty cool .... I wish it was better quality and larger. It really doesnt show anything that anyone dosent already know - The four stroke YFZ450 takes the Banshee off the line and gets off to a good, but not huge lead, at around (40mph?) the Banshee reels in the thumper and dosent look back. Its all about power delivery and each machines power band. The Banshee might have a supposed 70hp, but the YFZ's engines power comes on alot earlier and lower in the curve. The reality is that it actually has more horsepower down low than the Banshee without having more "peak" horsepower. I would be more interested in seeing a stock for stock race myself, but its cool none the less.

The people that trailprotrailprotrailprotrailprotrailpro about Banshees the most are the ones that are scared to death of them because they know they can't hang.Originally Posted by HemiChallenger71

Either that Banshee rider sucks...or it just cant get the power to the ground (traction)
[20:55] <waterpumper> putting a racing pipe on a Foreman is like putting a high dollar bikini on a 400 pound chick...just because it fits doesn't mean it looks cool
The Banshee isn't anywhere near 70hp. The vid was debunked a long time ago. A stock YFZ and TRX make about 36hp each so they will not come close to a 70hp quad...
Faster than you...
I have a 03 banshee with sst pipes and a + 4 degree key, my friend have a yfz 450 stock. We race on asphalt. He passed me about 2 quad lenght, and when we hit the fifth gear, I passed him with about 3 quad lenght. The 450 his a very very fast machine. I was very impressed. BUT I don't think a stock 450 will keep a 70 hp banshee in a drag race like in this video.
scuse for my poor english....
