    85 ATC 110 Valves

Ok, so have a bent intake valve on my 110 and am gonna go ahead and replace both valves. ive been looking around for the replacements so i can order them in a few days. Seems that later 84 and all 85 model 110's have different valves then the 79-84 1/2's?? Well the part numbers are different at least. Does anyone know what the difference is? Because the 85's are obsolete and cost like 30-40 bucks each on ebay for originals. The 79-84.5's are plentiful for cheap though. What changed? And are they interchangeable? Hell, i have a spare 79 110 motor i can pull apart for the valves just to get running, but dont know if they will fit? Id rather have new ones and leave that motor complete though. Where are you guys getting yours?

I picked up a set of Shindy replacement valves for my '85 110 a couple years back. Quality seemed good and still working well.

Were they the ones that say 79-85? Bc i saw those, and also som Vesrah that also say 79-85. Just not sure since the part #'s changed halfway through 84. Wasnt sure if they were like those crap listings for a 200x for example that says fits 83-87 for so and so part when we all no it doesnt fit all those years. (Just an example)

I wish I could remember how they were listed in that respect but it was about 3 years ago and I just don't recall. I do remember having a bit of trouble finding valves and asking on here if the Shindy valves were of decent quality. I was told they are made in Japan and of good OEM replacement quality by some members here....I am away from home on a weekend camping/riding trip right now and only have my phone with me. See of you can find a thread in my profile that I started asking about ATC110 valves. There might be a link in that thread....

I had the same problem. I ordered shindy valves off eBay for 79 to 85 which is not correct , those are for 79 to 83. You can use these valves in a 84-85 but what I read you have to use the 79-83 valve retainers for it to work, I ended up spending more money and getting nos ones on eBay

Ok. That will be no big deal. Thats what i needed to know. So the valves are the same size and everything, just need the older style retainers? I dont feel like spending 40 bucks a valve so i wanna use either the shindy's or vesrah

Good luck , I didn't have the old style retainers around so I spent the money on the correct nos valves. If I had the parts I'd used the shindy valves.
