    XR/CRF100 question...

Hey guys, I am fundraising to replace one of my best friend's XR100 that was stolen right before [what was supposed to be] his bachelor party weekend of riding. The wedding party has already raised $850, so I'm ready to start shopping in hopes of presenting him with a used one at his wedding. I know…a grown man should ride a grown man's bike, but it's his preference so who am I to judge.

Anyways, are there any years that were better than others or anything I should watch out for (other than being raped by some craigslist weirdo)….

Bad things happen to bad people? Not sure what else to take from this.

Haha just wondering if there are any year xr/crf100's that I should stay away from or if there are any problems with those particular bikes I should BOLO for? I'm going today to look at a '96 and a 2004.

Post 2000 is a slightly bigger, slightly stronger bike. I'd go for the 04, depending on condition.
