1986 Honda 125M Plastic replacement fuel tank question

I am currently searching for a fuel tank for the 1986 125M Honda and a couple of guys have told me that the plastic tank for the 200cc machines fit well and look like it belongs. I believe it would be the wide open brand and not the clarke Does anyone have this modification on their machine? Please provide a picture if you can and any information as to fitment issues. Thanks.

I just got an 86 125M, and have a plastic tank for a 84 Honda Big Red 200ES laying around. I will try and check tonight when done with work or tomorrow, if no one else chimes in. Although my plastic tank is a Clark I believe.

Well even as cold as it was, I got outside and checked this out for you today. As I said the 200ES tank I have is indeed a Clarke tank. It was not wide enough to even slide over the frame. It was close but being -10 outside I wasnt going to mess around trying to spread it over frame as I've heard may have to with plastic tanks. I did have a plastic 250sx tank with me as well and that actually almost fits good, except it's too long and can't attach mounting bolt. I took some photos anyway for an idea with the 250SX tank on the 86 125M.

Last pic here I just placed fenders on, they don't fit obviously because tank is too long.

Thanks so much for doing that as cold as it is this weekend. Very helpful. I have received a couple of messages that the 200 tank looks good 82 to 84 but seems like that would not be the Clarke tank from what you have found. Thanks again.

It's going to warm up next week. I will double check that clarke tank, and if anything changes, I will put a post in about it.
