1986 KXT250 Tecate, first roll out after a 2 year complete tear down and rebuild

Hello everyone from up here in the great white north!!! Here's my latest build. Not sure if my American cousin's know this but the KXT250 made very few appearances in Canada. Plenty of ATC250R's and TRI-Z's made it here but not too many KXT250's. That being said, I am led to believe that this particular KXT250 was imported from the USA in the early 2000's. I picked it up in 2012 for $1050.00 it was a runner but in pretty bad shape.

    Complete tear down
    Swing arm extended 4 inches
Powder coated frame, swing arm, front and rear hubs
    New:
    Extended axle
    Gas tank
    Fenders front and rear
    Number plate and air shrouds
    Brake disc's front and rear
Sprockets front and rear and chain
    Seat cover
    Bead lock wheels on rear

We didn't run all three at the same time. We will do that one day. The kxt250 ran incredibly awesome for a first test run!

Nice job on the rebuild. Looks great! What did you end up going with for the air filter?

Wikipedia "All Terrain Vehicle" Definition excerpt
Other smaller or lesser known companies, such as Tiger ATV, Franks, and Cagiva, produced racing three wheelers, but in much smaller numbers. Few of these machines are known to exist today and are highly sought by collectors.

Check out my Tiger 3 wheeler Webpage..my quest for a TIGER MUSEUM started 2004 http://sites.google.com/site/tigerrotax/home

Rides: TIGER Factory line up, Tricky Dicks Cagiva 200, 4- Franks 3 and 4 Wheelers
